QM Environmental is proud to announce that we have received Canadian Occupational Safety’s (COS) 5-Star Safety Cultures Award. This is the second year in a row that QM has been recognized for our health & safety policies and tools.
“The most exciting part about receiving this honour is it’s a true reflection of how employees perceive the safety culture at QM,” said Melissa Clarke, Vice President of Environment, Health & Safety. “A large number of our employees completed an anonymous survey to outline how they felt about our safety culture just to be considered for the award.”
The COS 5-Star Safety Cultures Award recognizes organizations for deploying a diverse set of tools and workplace policies to ensure the well-being of employees. The two-step process for consideration includes an employee survey that asks staff to rate their company across a range of metrics that drive employee satisfaction. Companies that reached an approval rating of at least 75% were recognized as 5-Star awardees.
