As the Inside Sales Representative – Central Region, you will play a key role in the sales organization. In collaboration with the VP of Business Development & Marketing and the Regional Manager of Environmental Services West you will identify, qualify, and cultivate client opportunities. You will build and manage high-quality pipelines to ultimately meet or exceed the inside sales goals and expand the client portfolio. You will work closely with operations to recognize how our solutions support and solve problems for our customers.
KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE:
Lead generation: Generate new leads in the central region to sell the breadth of services in the Environmental Services business unit.
Client engagement: Develop strong customer relations with decision-makers and influencers in identified key markets, with the intent to generate new opportunities to increase sales.
Market alignment: Your time will be spent aligning yourself with decision-makers in the market – do we want to define this?
Inside sales strategies: Build and execute on inside sales strategies for market penetration.
Opportunity management: Create and close opportunities in CRM; track interactions, follow-ups, and conversions to ensure a streamlined sales process.
Territory development: Build an inside sales territory where the QM brand is not yet known or not well known.
FIRST YEAR – MEASURES OF SUCCESS – KPI’s
Learn and complete the QM Safety Training.
Build on and follow both company and individual inside sales plans – achieving the inside sales metrics, revenue, and new business development targets created in collaboration with senior management.
Demonstrate success in closing opportunities for the company to compete for business.
Demonstrate success in identifying and creating relationships with decision-makers and influencers in the target markets.
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the QM team.
THE INDIVIDUAL
Given the pivotal role you will play in achieving the strategic objectives of the company and supporting the success of the organization, it is essential that you possess the following core competencies, experience, and attributes:
- High school diploma is required. Post-secondary education is an asset
- Must have 5+ years’ experience in a sales/customer service role
- Knowledge of the industrial services and emergency response is highly preferred
- Ability to multi-task, handle competing priorities with a calm, controlled demeanor
- Ability to work independently but also cooperatively with operations
- A proven record of accomplishment, driving results, and overcoming adversity.
- Experience generating new leads and cold calling.
- Ability to operate with high integrity, a strong work ethic, and with care.
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment where diverse business requirements may occur.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
