As the Business Development Representative/Associate – BC, you will play a key role in the Sales Organization. You will identify and build excellent, high quality pipelines so they can ultimately meet or exceed the sales goals and expand the client portfolio. Lastly, you will work with operations and recognize how our solutions support and solve problems for our customers.
Business Development & Client Relationship Management
• Generate new leads with existing clients in geographical locations in BC and new leads to sell our breadth of services.
• Develop strong customer relations with decision makers and influencers in identified key markets, with the intent to generate new opportunities to increase sales.
• Your time will be spent aligning yourself with decision makers in the market such as consultants, real-estate developers, commercial builders, mines and oil and gas.
• Build and execute on sales strategies for market penetration.
• Create and close opportunities in CRM
• Sell the overall company services including commercial construction, tenant leasehold improvements, and new services introduced by the organization.
• Plan strategies for and attend industry networking events.
• Identify branding opportunities in conjunction with the Manager Marketing and Communications to bring QM into a more recognized position in the market.
• Build sales territory where the QM band is not yet known or not well known.
• Collaborate with and provide insight to the QM sales team on digital marketing strategies, requests for proposals, and the creation of high-performance bid packages.
FIRST YEAR – MEASURES OF SUCCESS – KPI’s
• Learn and complete the QM Safety Training.
• Build on and follow both company and individual sales plans – achieving the sales metrics, revenue and new business development targets created in collaboration with senior management.
• Demonstrate success in closing on opportunities for the company to compete for business.
• Demonstrate success in identifying and creating relationships with decision makers and influencers in the target markets.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the QM team.
THE INDIVIDUAL
Given the pivotal role you will play in achieving the strategic objectives of the company and in supporting the success of the organization, it is essential that you possess the following core competencies, experience, and attributes:
Education
• Post secondary education in Business or a related field considered an asset.
• Commitment to professional development through continuous learning.
Experience
• Minimum of 5-7 years sales experience with a background related to the either construction/demolition sector, environmental sector or heavy equipment, oil and gas. It would be an added benefit having experience selling to consultants, commercial developers, and other related client groups.
• Experience building and achieving sales revenue annual plans and sales strategies.
• Previous recognition in the sales industry through awards or promotions is an asset.
• A proven record of accomplishment, driving results, and overcoming adversity.
• Experience generating new leads and cold calling.
• Experienced in attending networking events.
• Basic MS Word, Outlook, and Excel experience.
Competencies and Knowledge:
• Ability to operate with high integrity, a strong work ethic and with care.
• Proven ability to regularly close business.
• Ability to seek out decision makers and form effective business relationships.

Salary Range: $80000 to $100000
