QM Environmental was retained to complete the site soil remediation at a former commercial building site in Calgary, Alberta.

Project Scope

Under the contract, QM performed the following services, among others:

    • Excavation, transport and disposal of approximately 6,600 mt of Class II waste to an approved landfill facility.
    • Excavation and segregation of buried concrete, asphalt, metal, and demolition debris to minimize client’s cost.
    • Supply, place, and compact suitable clean backfill material to specified grade for new building construction.
    • Excavation depths reached as far as 14m below ground surface.
    • High profile site located on a very busy city street in Calgary.
