She has a holistic approach to safety management and exceptional ability to inspire others to prioritize health and safety.
Examples of her comprehensive expertise contributing to being a standout safety leader includes risk assessment, business continuity, emergency response, incident management, disaster recovery, crisis communication, quality, health, safety, security, and environmental management system implementations, policy development, and strategic planning.
During Melissa’s tenure at QM, her team has completely transformed the EHS program from paper-based to fully electronic, which has resulted in a number of efficiencies with improved engagement and access to information about safety at QM. This has been achieved through the implementation and communication of a variety of safety analytics dashboards. In addition, she continues to promote best practices in safety management such as our psychologically safe leaders’ program.
